Finding Freedom: The Art of Letting Go Through Poetry

Chapter 1: The Quest for a Remedy

Is there truly a remedy for our struggles, or are we left without one?

Caravaggio's Sacrifice of Isaac - A Reflection on Struggles

When you can no longer find your remedy, it may be time to move on. Clinging to a fading light only leads to more pain. The brightness you once cherished may transform into a consuming darkness, draining the joy from your existence.

So, step away, my friend—protect your light from the shadows that seek to engulf it.

This poem draws inspiration from a cherished quote I discovered at nine in a book exploring the origins of famous sayings, and I fell in love with its wisdom. It reminds me to navigate life's challenges with care:

“For every evil under the sun,

There is a remedy, or there is none.

If there be one, try and find it;

If there be none, never mind it.” — The Little Mother Goose

In our lives, we often fixate on problems that seem unsolvable, exhausting ourselves in futile attempts to mend what can’t be repaired. While it’s commendable to fight for resolutions, we must avoid wasting our energy on draining situations or individuals that pull us into their abyss.

I penned this poem reflecting on someone who once played a significant role in my life but ultimately became a source of distress. Being around them felt like being trapped in a cycle with no escape.

Through this writing, I sought to capture the moment I realized that the only escape was to let go.

Letting go of someone once cherished is undoubtedly a daunting task, yet it became clear that I had to prioritize my well-being over theirs.

Sometimes, the strongest remedy to a problem is simply to walk away, liberating yourself from the burdens that hinder your progress.

Chapter 2: Embracing the Journey

In this official music video, Alesso's "REMEDY" encapsulates the essence of finding solace amidst chaos. The visuals and lyrics remind us that there are ways to heal and move forward.

Jason Mraz's live performance of "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)" emphasizes the importance of resilience and letting go of worries. His heartfelt delivery serves as a reminder to embrace life's challenges with a positive spirit.
