Exploring Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Science and Humanities

Chapter 1: Introduction to IFIASA
I, Dr. Jacques Coularade, have collaborated with a diverse group of researchers and publishers over the years, freely exploring various topics and methodologies. It is essential to recognize that meaningful discussions arise only when participants come from varied backgrounds.
The phenomenon of mental blindness is perplexing. Color blindness is merely a form of racism in disguise, while religious blindness, as often seen in France, results in the suppression of certain practices that seek visibility. Likewise, the disregard for poverty often manifests as a rejection of marginalized individuals, including the homeless and those with disabilities.
This research initiative is intriguing as it aims to engage with a multitude of perspectives, from creationism to expansive theories of evolutionary biology, considering all forms of artistic expression along with scientific disciplines.
André Joly's critique of Descartes, a prominent figure in philosophy and science, comes to mind. He expressed frustration at Descartes' notion that demonstrating the world operates under simple natural laws could affirm God's existence. Joly believed that discussions within intellectual and scientific realms should exclude God—an assertion reflective of his French cultural context in the late 1980s.
Molière's timeless commentary resonates with this sentiment, capturing the conflict between reason and religious dogma in classic French literature.
