Five Bold Beliefs That Might Raise Eyebrows

Chapter 1: Introduction to My Unconventional Beliefs
What follows may cause some eyebrows to raise regarding my reputation.
Firstly, let me clarify: I don't consider myself a particularly controversial person. I genuinely strive to maintain good relationships with most individuals, which I view as one of my strengths. While I hold a few strong convictions, those who know me would likely describe me as quite easygoing.
That said, I firmly believe that Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest of all time!
His accolades include multiple Ballon d'Or titles (the award for the world's best player, in case you're unfamiliar with soccer) and consistently scoring over 25 goals each season since 2006 (except for a brief hiatus). Regardless of the position he plays or the team he represents, he excels. To the Messi fans out there, I’m prepared to defend this stance to the end!
If you're still with me and are curious about my other rather unconventional (yet still somewhat controversial) beliefs, read on:
Section 1.1: The Value of Leverage Over Hard Work
- Hard work is often overrated. The focus should be on what you work on and who you collaborate with, rather than merely how hard you toil. There's a reason janitors and line cooks typically don’t drive luxury cars.
My first venture was a painting business where I put in a tremendous amount of effort—climbing ladders and hauling paint cans. I earned $100K annually back then. Now, my lead generation agency brings in over $100K monthly, and I don’t exert nearly as much effort. The key difference? Understanding the power of leverage. Work smarter, not harder!
Section 1.2: Rethinking Book Reading
- Reading numerous books each year is often just for show. It’s common to see individuals on platforms like Medium or Instagram boasting about the sheer volume of books they're reading. But here’s a little secret: most will forget 99% of it!
Instead, it’s far more beneficial to focus on a select few impactful books that you can constantly reference, rather than drowning in a sea of forgettable material. Two books I continually revisit are The Almanack of Naval Ravikant and The 48 Laws of Power—true classics filled with timeless wisdom.
Subsection 1.2.1: The Importance of Self-Acceptance
- Being yourself is liberating once you realize that no one is focused on you! In reality, everyone is preoccupied with their own lives. So, be bold and take action.
However, it’s important to be discerning about whose opinions you value. For example, I have a mentor whose insights I highly respect due to his experience and achievements. Conversely, I’m not overly concerned about the thoughts of those who disagree with my views on Ronaldo’s greatness.
Section 1.3: The Power of Charisma
- Charisma is the ultimate life skill. Cultivating an aura of confidence mixed with warmth can significantly impact your interactions.
One of my most valuable business relationships developed through charisma. When I first met my mentor back in October 2022, he expressed that he felt an instant connection with me. I believe charisma is one of my hidden advantages, and it can be yours as well! I honed this skill through countless interactions while running my painting business, where I met potential clients about 2000 times.
Chapter 2: Embracing Your Dark Side
- Embrace your shadow self—it holds tremendous potential! Drawing from Robert Greene's book The Laws of Human Nature, I learned that everyone possesses a darker side. This primal aspect often drives behavior related to survival, such as manipulation and aggression.
However, darkness cannot exist without light. When harnessed correctly, your shadow self can be a powerful motivator. I admit I have a greedy side, but I view this as an area for growth. While I strive to be selfless, my desire for substantial success fuels my ambitions.
Don't shy away from acknowledging your darker aspects. Accepting them can unlock unprecedented personal growth!
