Chapter 1: My Journey with Medium's Friend Program

My experience with the Friend of Medium program has proven to be my most lucrative endeavor so far. It's almost as if it received an unexpected boost.

Friends of Medium is a program where writers can gain more visibility and rewards for their content.

There's a lot to take away from this narrative. Of course, it wasn't boosted since Medium doesn’t promote meta stories. Still, I am astonished by how well this story has performed since I published it at the start of the month. This experience has illuminated two important lessons:

1. Personal stories resonate well on this platform (which is somewhat obvious, yet it remains effective even for meta narratives).
2. Readers appreciate seeing achievable results.

I have received numerous comments from individuals who were previously uncertain but have now chosen to join the Friends of Medium community. You can read their feedback directly in the comments section of that story. Perhaps this is where Medium rewards my efforts in some way :)
